DESCRIPTION
Constructed in 2000, the Indianapolis Marriott-Downtown is the largest hotel in Indianapolis with 616 rooms at a cost of $60 million. The Marriott is connected via a walkway to the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome.
CHALLENGES
There were several different funding sources and owners involved in this project. The hotel was constructed on a tight, urban site with heavy traffic volume adjacent to the site, therefore, creating a complex construction process.
